Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Yedidim Dispatch handles information needed to coordinate assistance calls and communications between dispatchers and volunteers.

Effective date: October 11, 2026

1. About this policy

This policy applies to the Yedidim Dispatch Android application and its connected web-based services. Yedidim Dispatch is used by authorized dispatchers and volunteers to coordinate assistance requests, communicate about those requests and track their progress.

“We” and “our” refer to the team responsible for operating Yedidim Dispatch. Some features described below may only be available to certain users or in certain versions of the app.

2. Information we handle

Depending on your role and how you use the app, the service may handle:

  • Account information: name, email address, phone number, volunteer unit identifier, login details managed through an authentication provider, and account role.
  • Dispatch information: descriptions of assistance requests, relevant addresses or locations, contact details voluntarily entered for people requesting assistance, dispatch assignments, call statuses, timestamps and notes.
  • Messages: content that users send through in-app communications.
  • Device location: location data if a location-sharing feature is enabled and the user grants permission. Request locations may also be entered manually without collecting a user's device location.
  • Photos and attachments: content voluntarily added if those features are available.
  • Technical information: device and app information, IP addresses, logs, authentication events and notification tokens that may be processed to keep the service functional and secure.

Dispatch records can include information about people who do not have app accounts. Users should enter only the details reasonably necessary to respond to an assistance request.

3. How we use information

  • Authenticate users and apply dispatcher, volunteer and administrator permissions.
  • Create, route, accept, update and complete requests for assistance.
  • Enable relevant communication between dispatchers and volunteers.
  • Send operational notifications about new or updated calls, when supported and permitted.
  • Maintain the service, investigate errors, address abuse and protect app security.
  • Respond to requests concerning personal information and comply with applicable law.

Dispatch information is intended for assistance operations. It is not intended to be used for targeted advertising.

4. Sharing and service providers

Authorized dispatchers, volunteers and administrators may see information relevant to their roles and assistance requests. Access depends on how the app's permissions are configured.

We use technology providers to operate the service. These may include Base44 for the app's online services and Google services for sign-in, push notifications or other app infrastructure, where configured. These providers may receive information needed to perform those services and handle it under their applicable terms.

We may disclose information when required by law, to respond to a legitimate legal request, or when reasonably necessary to address an urgent safety or security concern.

5. Permissions and user choices

Depending on the app version, Android may request permission for notifications, location, camera or other device features. A permission does not necessarily mean the feature is currently active. You can review or revoke permissions in Android settings, although the related feature may stop working.

Google sign-in, when chosen, is processed through Google's authentication system. If email sign-in is available, login information is used to provide account access.

6. Data security

We aim to restrict access based on user roles and use the security controls provided by our application and hosting services. Communications with the online service are intended to use HTTPS. No system can guarantee complete security. Users should avoid including information not needed for dispatch operations.

7. Data retention and deletion

Account and dispatch information may be kept while needed to operate the service, maintain accurate call histories, resolve disputes, protect safety, and meet legal obligations. Specific retention periods may vary by record type and operational needs.

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information, or ask to have an account deleted, using the email address below. We will review and process requests, subject to any necessary verification and lawful record-retention requirements. When an account is deleted, associated personal data should also be deleted unless retention is reasonably required by law, safety, security or legitimate operational recordkeeping.

For step-by-step instructions, including categories of data deleted or retained, visit our public Account Deletion Request page. You can request deletion without signing in; email the address associated with your account so the request can be verified.

8. Children

Yedidim Dispatch is intended for authorized organization users and volunteers, not as a service directed to children. If you believe a child's personal information has been collected inappropriately, please contact us so it can be reviewed.

9. Changes to this policy

We may revise this policy as features, service providers, or information-handling practices change. The revised policy will be posted at this page with a new effective date when appropriate.
